The New Trinity Appointment…

an charitable and community building approach to first bridal appointments by Hampshire’s Leading luxurious bridal boutique

The New Trinity Bridal Appointment

A first step appointment actively raising money for Trinity Winchester ensuring they can empower, support, and protect more women through their local projects and programs.

Are you a bride looking to find a timeless, effortlessly elegant, and luxury wedding gown? If so, this is the helping hand you will need to start that adventure, in a brilliantly modern and charitably minded way!

The “Trinity Appointment’ is one of the best concepts we’ve created in years, why?

Because we know with a longer-term dedicated program and arrangement (rather than a one-off donation) we are collaborating in a modern way to ensure Trinity can reach more women in need.

We are ensuring they have a chance to be positive about their future, make wonderful new friends, and most importantly learn they are not responsible, and that they deserve safety, security, happiness, and a bright, fulfilling future.

With a powerful new brand resolution, we are dedicating ‘bridal time’ to a charity close to our hearts, one inspiring us to think a little more about the predicaments and situations modern life can, unfortunately, expose women to. Not all of the time, but enough of the time for us to feel the need to do something about our charitable commitments moving forward.

Together we look forward to increasing the number of women Trinity can support. Their ‘Women’s Service’ sees around 115 women each year supporting them to make a positive change in their lives and in many cases break free from a damaging cycle of domestic abuse.

We hope to be able to increase that number by at least 20% (23 women) with our brides’ support. We fundamentally believe charitable liaison is not a trend for us, it’s a new lifestyle for our business and we plan to embrace it every day wholeheartedly

Why book a Trinity Appointment?

Because a brilliant £30 is raised from your appointment charge, this amount can provide 15 hot meals for a woman sleeping rough for one week

Depending on the value of the dress you order, there is a sliding scale of donations ranging from £30 to £200. This will support Trinity in one of the following ways:

  • One session in the Job Club to help women back into employment
  • Provision of access for one woman into Trinity’s Women’s Service for a year
  • Six sessions of counselling

In addition at the end of each quarter, we will work out 10% of the total amount raised via your appointment booking fees and use those funds to purchase items from ‘the much-needed list’ delivering them to Trinity personally.

“We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen as Brides of Winchester’s charity partner. Our dedicated women’s service supported 115 individual women last year who were experiencing an area of vulnerability through a range of services delivered at our drop-in centre. We look forward to working with Brides of Winchester to reach more women in need and provide them with a safe place to come to within the city,”

“Your bridal journey as well as your gown and support a brilliant charity at the same time”

“They are is a charity worthy of our support and your support. They encourage women to change their situations and take control of their potential and rights, allowing them to build positive fulfilling futures. As a business, we put women at the heart of our decisions, focus, and passions. Our brand leads with purpose, occupying a meaningful place in the hearts and minds of all the couples, brides, and their families who pass through our boutique on their way to getting married. Charity passivity is no longer an option for us. As such we started to research organisations who ticked our support desires as well as work out what type of charitable giving naturally and fluidly fitted alongside our business. We looked at our purpose and considered questions and statements like ‘when we were younger what situations bought us concern’, and ‘in our lives what experiences have we personally had that have impacted our charitable beliefs and biases”. Alongside something even more powerful, ‘what is one issue that has impacted either us personally, or a friend, or a client? We then decided to take the approach to just ‘do good now’ and build from there. Together we are defining and refining our charitable giving plan, with the aim of offering a long-term support arrangement to Trinity. The Trinity appointment is a beautiful starting point, which we are delighted to offer to our brides”.

To our brides

“We know many people struggle to give back to their communities because they don’t know where to start, we didn’t until we found Trinity. As couples go through wedding planning (buying their bridal fashion being part of that), we wanted to make it possible for women to contribute to our community at the same time, investing in women in need during the time of their ultimate happiness.”

What will we accomplish together?

Founded in Winchester, Hampshire in the autumn of 2010, Brides of Winchester is a destination boutique renowned for its private, personal, and one-to-one bridal appointments tailored for brides who are searching for timeless, effortlessly elegant and luxury wedding gowns. All our gowns are designed by exclusive, couture-minded, and highly sought-after women bridal designers and entrepreneurs.

As a boutique, we are committed to supporting our clients on their bridal fashion journey, advising them, and helping them to find their perfect wedding gown. We believe a bride’s journey should be an empowering, exciting, inspirational and personalised experience, one embarked upon solo, or shared with their most supportive nearest and dearest people. When it comes to our gowns, we seek out designers with a legacy and an heirloom-worthy approach to bridal fashion. This is always made up of three intricate things, exceptional fabrics, a first-class design process and a constant commitment to excellence. We visit their studios to see exactly how their gowns are made, with the aim of meeting the designers and teams behind the magic personally.

Our curated collections blend our designer’s most iconic, exceptional, trend-focused and luxurious gowns, with each dress being created with ultimate care, finesse, and attention to detail.

Why are we taking this new approach?

‘I’ve thought more about how we can modernise our approach and lead with our bridal boutique since the pandemic stopped life, marriages, weddings and the celebratory joy experienced by couples during wedding planning. Our work ethic, communication, brand, marketing and purpose drive the boutique to success, but it is our sense of community that creates connection, reputation, fulfilment and happiness. When we have brides and their families in the boutique it is the meaningful, substantive conversations during an appointment that creates a lasting connection, and a joyful experience. Our purpose has evolved since the pandemic… our aim is “to unlock and communicate what the power in having a positive and beautiful bridal appointment brings to brides during their wedding planning, whilst at the same time ensuring we give to our community to fund services to support and enable experts focused on providing women in vulnerable situations a brighter future.” says Laura Ward, Founder and Owner of Brides of Winchester.

What do we know about wedding planning?

We know wedding planning can be a stressful process.

So it’s important to align with wedding creatives who not only provide exceptional customer service and products but who also support you along the way.

After all, if you don’t enjoy your wedding specialists as humans, it’s going to be a long process working together.

You don’t need to be besties but seeing eye to eye on values is a must. The planning process should be one you feel supported on, enjoy and find uplifting.

Through the gallery, bio, and “about me” sections as well as our social posts and website we lay these out for you.

However never be afraid to sit down face to face with a prospective supplier and ask them about them.

We have always imagined our values.
But let our service to brides to the talking.

Over the coming months, we are bringing these values front and centre

“Creative, Modern and Mindful”

These are our values, they dictate how we conduct our business and who we are not just as a wedding boutique, but as individuals too. Fashion for a wedding is an intimate and emotional journey, so it is only fitting that the person supporting you throughout the process has values that align with your priorities.
