Sophie Rose Bridal
Sophie Rose is renowned for effortless, ethereal wedding gowns for the contemporary bride, and we absolutely adore her collections to date. She has an illustrious career ahead and we are delighted to be with her at the beginning.
Sophie started her beloved journey into bridal freelancing as a dressmaker at a bridal boutique near her home in Hampshire. Learning how to design, create and perfect high quality wedding dresses. Her bespoke label started with the concept that bridal needed something new. Designs evoking a sense of confidence and effortless comfort.
We love the fabrics Sophie uses, and the glowing feedback is that they that feel like a sublime second skin. This combined with her exceptional couture dressmaking techniques, create heirloom gowns.
As a lover of nature, Sophie has a sustainable and ethical approach when making each wedding dresses. This choice is at the heart of everything she does. We love that each gown is made to order in her Hampshire studio. All fabric remnants are used to create bridal headbands, buttons or are recycled elsewhere.

Insights from the wonderful Sophie Rose herself
Describe the clientele you design for…
A Sophie Rose Bride is someone who is relaxed and wants to be completely true to themselves on their wedding day. All my designs are incredibly comfortable to wear, meaning you can hug, eat and dance to your heart’s content without worrying about your dress, as well as feeling so utterly beautiful and let’s face it – that is the dream combination!
What is your most popular piece?
Maple is a real favourite with my brides, along with Robin. I think this is because they are both incredibly flattering but can also be styled in exactly the way you want them to be, rather than the dress dictating your styling. You also have the option of making changes to the design. You basically get to create your ideal dress, completely unique to you.
What advice would you give to brides-to-be?
Try to keep in mind the things that will make YOU happy on the day and what you feel comfortable with. This is yours and your partners day, no one else’s and it’s very easy to be swayed by the ’should’s’. There’s no right way of doing things, just what’s right for you. Everyone that loves you will ultimately want you to have the day you both dream of. The same goes for your dress – everyone can have their thoughts but it’s you who has to wear your dress and you know how you want to feel when wearing on the dress for your wedding day.
As a designer, what tips do you have for brides to get the most out of their fittings?
Firstly, I’d suggest wearing the underwear you’d ideally like to wear on the day. With my designs, there is very little structure in the dress itself and so the underwear makes a huge difference to the final look of the dress and helps to create the structure. I’d also suggest not bringing too many guests and only bring people you truly trust. It can get incredibly confusing having multiple opinions, that you can’t process your own thoughts and feelings.
Do you offer a custom design service for Sophie Rose brides? If so, how long does it take?
Each dress can be interchanged and adapted with elements, fabrics and design details from across the collections, ensuring each bride has the perfect, hand crafted dress of their choice with no compromise.
What advice do you give to brides to care for their gown?
Before the wedding, make sure you keep your outfit hanging in a breathable dress bag. As soon as you can after the wedding, get your dress cleaned by a dry cleaners that specialise in wedding dresses. These specialists usually offer a boxing service so your dress can be perfect preserved for if you want to alter it or even have a future family member use or recycle it.
