Take one gorgeous bride, one incredible Castle venue (Clearwell Castle), a dashing groom in uniform and a Suzanne Neville dress. What do you get? Pure grandeur, beauty and elegance perfectly captured by HBA Photography.
The gorgeous Ella wore Blossom by Suzanne Neville and I think your agree the dress and Ella were made for each other. It took some convincing to persuade Ella to try on our wildcard, but once she tried it on and came out the changing room, we were all blown away and knew it was the one. Following the wedding Ella sent us the most lovely email thanking us for finding her, her “wildcard”.
Hi Laura & Hayley and everybody else at BOW, I’m so sorry that it’s taken so long to get round to this, but I just wanted to drop you a quick email to thank you so much for helping me find the most perfect dress for our wedding on 10th October.
Having not had any experience of wedding dress shopping before, or even much of a clue what sort of dress I wanted (or very much time to get a dress!), you made the whole experience so easy, relaxed and enjoyable. I so appreciated your patience and advice on what would suit my shape, and that’s how I ended up with the Suzanne Neville ‘wildcard!’
When I got to the bottom of the aisle Chris said that I looked ‘absolutely amazing and incredible’ (although he’s biased!), so the dress was definitely a huge hit with him :).
I really did spend the whole day feeling incredible, but also really comfortable too, so what more could you ask for on your wedding day?”
The look was completed with a Once Upon a Time Tiaras “Ivy Rose” hairvine and a “Emma” veil from The Couture Veil, all available from Brides of Winchester.

What was your favourite part of the day?
This is tricky because I loved every single part if our day, however I think the ceremony was my favourite bit. Seeing Chris standing there, smiling at me as I walked down the aisle with my step dad and then saying our vows and promises, in front of our friends and family, was really special and the main reason for the whole day.
What’s your best tip for brides?
Try not to be too nervous so you relax and enjoy your day as it really does go so quickly.
It’s also really nice to take a few minutes away with your husband (when you can), otherwise you could end up spending the whole day apart.
Finally, try not to hold your bouquet like a microphone, I wish I had practised this beforehand!
With hindsight, is there anything you would have done differently?
We were quite limited for time and had our wedding within seven months of Chris proposing, which meant that we didn’t have a huge amount of time to source suppliers (or at least find any with availability for our date!). The only thing I’d do differently would be the groomsmen’s suits; I would have used a darker blue colour to match Chris’s Blues and the bridesmaids dresses better, rather than the sharp blue that we had. Otherwise our day was perfect for us 🙂
Thank you so much Ella for sharing your beautiful wedding and wishing you and Chris all the best for your married life together 🙂
