Brighter Days Are Upon Us!
From the 19th July 2021 England moves into a new phase of dealing with Covid-19 and precautions are easing. It is however, our priority to keep everyone (you, your guests & our bridal consultants) as safe as possible. Firstly to ensure we can look after all our BOW brides no matter what phase of their bridal journey they are in, but also to keep our business open and our consultants healthy (we are delirious to be back at work properly).
Book with confidence
We reassure you it is our priority to provide you our luxurious BOW experience. However, the variants have us on our toes so keeping protections in place are sensible.
Here’s what we’re doing
You will be asked to use alcohol hand gel when you arrive.
Your bridal consultant will wear a mask whilst dressing you in your changing room.
After every appointment we will close for a short time for cleaning. We are hosting fewer appointments each day, which allows us time between customers to complete this additional cleaning. For this reason we are not currently seeing brides who do not have a confirmed wedding date or who are getting married more than 16 months in advance.
Here’s what we are asking you to do
We are an appointment only, independent business with a small and dedicated team. So It is more important than ever when you book with us you are committed to honouring your appointment.
We trust our brides and their guests to adhere to the current government guidelines.
You are asked to reschedule if you, or any of your guests or household have shown any of the Covid-19 symptoms or been in contact with anyone who has.
Please do not to arrive early for your appointment.
Please bring no more than 2 guests. There is guest wifi available to you free of charge allowing you to set up video calling.
With respect, please don’t bring more guests to your appointment and hope to ‘swap’ them around during your time with us.
Please wear a mask in the fitting room whilst being dressed.
Whilst we are doing a fitting with a seamstress, 1 guest is allowed as one of your spaces is already in use.
Kindly use the alcohol hand gel provided as soon as you arrive in the boutique.
We would like to recommend one of your guests is the person you’d want with you when you order your wedding dress. This will mean you are in a position to go ahead with your order on the day you find ‘the one’ and will avoid you having to book more appointments.
Appointments are 90 minutes long (or 60 minutes at a sale event). If you are running over your time and another bride has an appointment after you then we will wind the appointment up and book you in for a follow up appointment.

Appointments at Brides of Winchester
Appointments at the boutique have always been an exclusive, exciting and wonderful experience. Our response to the Covid-19 pandemic has not changed that. The boutique space is beautifully presented, maximising the layout of our Victorian high street building. There is plenty of room for you walk around, swish and feel amazing in the gowns you are trying on. Our aim is that you enjoy every moment of your experience at Brides of Winchester.
