This week we are featuring our gorgeous Clare who married on 6 August 2016 at Lockerley Church, Hampshire, followed by reception at Norton Park Hotel, Winchester. Photography by Az at Lemontree Photography.
Tell us about your dress
My dress was by Laren by Pronovias. I only went to two boutiques and tried on approximately 6 dresses in each, so I think this was fairly quick compared to other people! I had a fairly clear idea on what I wanted (lace, fishtail) so was able to try on variants of this (although my mum made me try a few big ones!). I decided on Laren in the end primarily due to the spotted detail on lace and the lace trim, both of which were beautiful, and of course the amazing back!
How did you choose your venue?
The church is my childhood village church so was very easy to choose – I’ve always known I would get married there! The reception venue was more tricky, and we choose it in the end because it had a good balance of having accommodation for all our guests, a good price and a lovely barn for the wedding breakfast.
What was your wedding theme and how did you create it?
Theme was a laid back / romantic / vintage vibe. I spent a lot of time on pinterest getting ideas but it ran from loose, romantic hair, bouquets that were not too orderly, having vintage, mismatching photoframes for our table plan, a vintage sweet cart etc!
What was your first dance?
Frankie Valli – Can’t take my eyes off of you.
What is your top tip?
Remain calm, it’s ok if everything doesn’t go exactly to plan, it’ll still be perfect.
What was the highlight of your day?
My husband’s speech!
Thank you so much Clare for sharing.
