White Gallery was created in 2009, to give high-end bridal designers a platform to present their upcoming collection to the world’s most discerning retailers and press. Since then, it is firmly established as the ultimate destination for designer brands, luxury retailers and the fashion press. Laura from Brides of Winchester visited London for this year’s event where she had exclusive access to view our designer’s new collections. Here is what you should expect from the 2019 Collections – Brides of Winchester are still deciding on the exact designs to stock but here is a sneak preview of some of the options!
Suzanne Neville is one of Europe’s leading designers of bridal, and evening wear. Suzanne’s gowns are British made, with designing and hand-made production being undertaken in London. Still adhering to traditional origins, Suzanne Neville dresses are hand-crafted using the techniques of contemporary couture. Suzanne is most well-known for her beautifully constructed wedding gowns and glamorous evening dresses with signature-structured bodices, the collection is incredibly diverse. Silhouettes vary from slim fitting bias cuts to full and romantic gowns, always using only the finest silks and hand embroideries.
Suzanne Neville has been releasing some small teasers for what to expect from her 2019 Collection on her social media platforms. Here is a sketch of a beautiful fishtail gown with a long train and long sleeves – if you look carefully you can also see a swatch of the lace used.
This very contemporary ivory pant suit will feature in the Collection – we love the tailoring of this – becoming the frontrunner of how wedding outfits could be evolving over the next few years.
Also featuring in the new collection will be this gorgeous A line gown with a fitted bodice. We are all so enchanted by the beautiful material with the appliqued flowers used on the skirt and train.
Sassi Holford has been designing and creating designer wedding dresses for over 35 years. All Sassi Holford gowns are handmade in England. It’s Sassi’s design ethos to enhance the female shape whilst emphasising the bride’s own personality – allowing the bride to feel at her most beautiful.
Sassi’s new collection is absolutely stunning with some gorgeous and unusual laces being used to conform to her passion for the female shape. The Collection is being released steadily on social media but currently at time of writing we haven’t seen much but watch this space! We will let you know as the dresses appear!
Laura saw the gowns at White Gallery and promises that we are all in for a treat with her reliably stunning designs!
Naomi Neoh creates modern, elegant gowns designed for an utterly romantic bride. She loves the swish of light billowing silks with delicate French lace finished with fine beading, crisp ribbon and silk rose corsages. Inspired by real brides, her favourite pastime is to create gowns for real women’s body shapes, using her innate understanding of line and cut to adjust each dress to flatter and fit.
Here are two of Naomi’s gowns for her 2019 Collection. There is a very contemporary feel about the asymmetricity of the dress on the left. We are totally enchanted by the flowing silk skirt on the dress to the right.
Nicola Harvey–Rowley has been passionate about designing from an early age. Her inspiration and flair was developed from admiring period costume in TV dramas and the theatre. Numerous awards and more than two decades later, the company has grown considerably and is now supplying handmade couture gowns at selected stockist’s all over the UK and Europe. Every one of Nicola’s gowns is designed and handmade by a dedicated team of seamstresses in Hinckley, Leicestershire with an exceptional high standard to quality and detail. Nicola has shown her passion to create sculptured designs at its best, using luxurious fabrics in exciting array of colours.
Nicola Anne’s 2019 Collection is called ‘Beautiful Spirit’ and the gowns we saw at White Gallery perfectly encapsulate this name.
Nicola Anne has designed dresses for all shapes of brides with both fishtail and A line gowns featuring in her collection. We are so in love!
Having seen all these lovely dresses Laura now has the lovely (and very difficult) job of deciding on what Brides of Winchester will stock. We will update you all as the new collections start to come in. We hope you are as excited as we are!
