Describe the clientele you design for…
The Sassi Holford bride is dynamic and discerning. She has a self-assured understated style. She wants to feel more confident than she has on any other day of her life.
What is your most popular piece?
From our latest collection, Asteria, Iris has proven very popular. It was love at first sight with the fabric. A beautiful vibrant embroidery that had to be included in the collection. The fabric has been draped around the body to create a flirtatious silhouette. The dress is available in ivory too.
What advice would you give to brides-to-be?
Trust your instincts and do your research! Determine what styles, shapes and fabrics you like and that suit your personality and style. It doesn’t mean that’s what you’ll end up with, but it’s a starting point – there is so much choice for brides today, it can become very overwhelming.
As a designer, what tips do you have for brides to get the most
out of their fittings?
Always remember to bring the shoes that you will be wearing on your big day. We recommend having a discussion with your bridal boutique what underwear is suitable as lots of our dresses have built in corsets and support. Finally, remember not to wear fresh fake tan!
Do you offer a custom design service for brides? If so, how long does it take to make a custom piece?
Yes! We absolutely love creating bespoke gowns for our brides and
something we do often. It can be customising an existing style or
designing a gown completely bespoke. We recommend our brides begin the process a year before their big day.
What advice do you give to brides to care for their gown?
We recommend keeping your dress hung in a cloth bag, out of direct sunlight.
